Cinequest Live Festival Volunteer Roles Administration: Helps pre-festival at the Front Desk of the Cinequest office answering calls, greeting guests, or assisting Team Leads in expediting outreach efforts. During the festival, Admins help at Volunteer Check-In or with Festival Survey processing. Box Office: Sell event tickets and festival passes. You will be handling cash and processing credit card transactions. Events: Greeter, Scanner, Busser, Runner, Bartender at VIP Soirees. Can also be assigned to specific festival events to assist in the set-up and breakdown of events. Greeter: Greeters welcome guests, answer questions, and direct them to their desired destination. Greeters also help with the festival merch table, distributing supplies to the theater management team, and switch to support as Ushers when screenings have large crowds. Hospitality Concierge: (age 21+) Volunteers provide top-notch customer service and hospitality to visiting VIP artists, innovators, and sponsors by ensuring an engaging, professional, fun experience for every guest! Hospitality Envoy: (age 21+) Volunteers fuel and facilitate connectivity between VIP artists and innovators by ensuring an engaging, professional, fun experience for every guest!  Marketing: Assist the Marketing team with venue branding and distribution of collateral and posters. Projectionist: Film projection controls video / audio presentations, troubleshoots issues in the projection booth both prior to and during presentations. Speaker: Engaging and enthusiastic speakers who introduce the films, get people excited about Cinequest, and facilitate Q&A's with visiting artists. Special Forces: (Must be a licensed & insured driver. Involves heavy-lifting.) Be the festival all-star facilitating transportation, set-up, and keeping up with needs of festival teams. Extremely helpful if you have a car that can be used to pick up and transport supplies during the festival (ex: volunteers’ meals).  Theater Managers: Theater Managers monitor and ensure that screenings run smoothly. You will direct usher volunteers and manage speakers for screenings and events that occur on your shift (if no speaker is available you are willing to fill in quickly). You will coordinate with the projection team in case of technical issues and box office teams in case of admissions issues. Theater Usher: Be the welcome team at each and every screening! You will be responsible for ensuring that event attendees have proper admissions credentials for your assigned event, and will hand out and collect festival surveys. VR Customer Service: (No VR experience needed!) Welcoming guests, assisting with check-ins and distributing VR equipment during the festival. VR Tech: Assisting with set-up, configuration and running of VR hardware, including PCs, headsets, motion controllers, etc. Must be familiar with at least one VR headset. Cinejoy Virtual Festival Volunteer Roles Live Event Coordinator: Help coordinate and run virtual livestream events such as red carpets, live Q&As, panels, and more. Moderator: Moderate livestreamed conversations, Q&As, and one-on-one conversations with Cinejoy Artists. Hosts: Greet, welcome, appreciate, stimulate conversation, and connect visitors to the VIP Virtual Lounge and/or breakout rooms. Customer Service: Help Cinejoy customers with platform or event how-to questions or issues.
